Organic Hempseed Oil
Extracted by cold-pressing the seed of the Cannabis Sativa plant typically found in Eastern Asia, harvesting its ameliorative bio-active components while excluding the Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) compound known for its psychoactive effects. Hemp seed oil possesses an epidermal-replenishing property that remedies and strengthens the skin barrier by improving moisture retention (resulting in supple, hydrated skin), increasing resistance to infection, and reducing negative symptoms from common skin conditions.
Shea Butter
A seed fat originating from the Shea tree native to the West African regions of Ghana, Nigeria and Ugana. The substance is extracted from shea tree nuts and is aesthetically characterized by its smooth, velvety consistency and ivory hue. Shea butter is rich in amino acids and vitamins, making it an excellent cosmetic for conditioning and moisturizing the skin. Its anti-inflammatory properties make it a wise choice to apply against swelling and Erythema (skin redness/irritation), and its anti-oxidant traits can stimulate cell regeneration and collagen production for healthier, toned, and youthful skin.
Calendula
A flower originating from the Mediterranean region whose resin-like extract provides a utility of cosmetic and even medicinal benefits. Its anti-inflammatory attributes have an affinity for combating acne flare ups and irritation while soothing the skin through healthy moisture retention. Its anti fungal/microbial elements provide it some use for accelerating wound healing and skin purification. Its richness in polyphenol, flavonoid, and carotenoid antioxidants give calendula the means to combat free radicals that would otherwise prevent the body from producing healthy collagen and elastin, two compounds that play a role in toning, rejuvenating, and preserving skin wellness.
